The Saturno Dry Steam Vapour System has been developed to replace the use of solvents and other toxic substances in production equipment cleaning. This is achieved by directing pressurised steam vapour through various interchangeable hand held tools. The hose handle allows the operator to introduce diluted biodegradable detergent into the steam flow at the tool tip in order to speed up cleaning and degreasing.

The steam is generated in an electric boiler that is continually fed with water from a integral storage tank and is therefore kept constantly under pressure. The internal electronic control and safety valves allow maximum safety at high temperatures and provide continuous running without the need to depressurise and refill the boiler.

Industrial cleaning to date has been carried out using solvents an other hazardous chemicals - often with pressure washers using copious amounts of water - causing drainage and disposal problems. The Saturno is able to clean efficiently without these solvents and quantities of water; in fact water consumption is only about 10 litres an hour (Saturno Super) and eliminates obvious disposal problems. The whole system is environmentally friendly.

Saturno dry steam envelopes dust particles and bacteria, and holds them in suspension; helping avoid dangerous airborne situations.

Dry Steam Vapour Cleaning in factories can result in more closely directed working and economic use of water when compared with a pressure washer. There is no damage to machinery paintwork or switchgear because there are only small amounts of water condensate. Cleaning of rust sensitive parts is possible by using a solution of water-soluble oil in the detergent tank. All types of animal or vegetable fats melt when in contact with the high temperature steam vapour.

Dry Steam Vapour Cleaning with the Saturno fits naturally into TPM programmes. Operating times are considerably reduced, keeping production machinery down-time to a minimum.

As far as we are aware, we are the only suppliers of Dry Steam Vapour Cleaning Systems that use a boiler that complies with the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000, in that every one of our boilers is accompanied by its own Written Scheme of Examination and Boiler Pressure Test Certification.

Failure of the Employer of a user of any steam boiler to comply with these regulations, is illegal, and may compromise Employer’s Liability Insurance.
